Baby Shower Cupcakes
I made these for a baby shower that my church threw for a lady that goes to my church. She was expecting a girl and there was no real theme so I just went with pink, white and purple for colors.
For the cake: I just decided to use a trusty white cake recipe for the cake. After I made the batter, I divided in half, and dyed half of it purple. I used two medium sized cookie scoopers and put one scoop of purple and one of white in each cupcake wrapper. Then I swirled them together just a little bit, but not too much, so I didn't mix the colors too much.
For the frosting: I used this recipe. Then I did pretty much the same thing as with the cake. Divide it in half. Dye one half pink, leave the other white. In your piping bag or what ever you use to pipe your frosting, use a cookie scooper to put one white frosting ball, then a pink frosting ball, etc. This method did not work the best for me, I didn't like how much the pink and white blended. But please give me your suggestions on
