These biscuits are quick and easy to whip up and they taste just as good as the ones from Red Lobster!
Preheat oven to 450* and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and butter, then add to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Fold in the cheese likewise.
Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to spoon the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake until golden brown; 10-12 minutes.
Whisk together the topping and brush on while the biscuits are still hot.
