Golf Cupcakes
These golf cupcakes were really fun to make! My cousin plays golf for the high school team and he was wondering if my mom or someone would make him a dessert or something for the end of the year get together. I thought of making a golf themed dessert and thought it would be really fun, so I told him I would make him some cupcakes. The cake and frosting was nothing fancy, just a box mix yellow cake with store-bought lime frosting. Then I made some cake balls with the rest of the yellow batter in a Baby Cakes cake ball maker and dipped them in white Candy Melts. I tried piping the frosting on like grass, but it looked too messy so I just spread it on. I also thought about trying to put the golf ball on the tee (I just bought a pack of white golf tees at the store and stuck them in the cupcakes) but I thought that might be a little too risky, so I just set them by the tee. The holes you can see in some of the golf balls is where I poked them in order to dip them.
