Polka Dot Cake
I would say this cake is more fun to eat than make. I found the idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a whirl. I just used a white cake mix and used about half for the cake and the other for the cake balls. You just put enough cake batter in the pan to cover the bottom. Then you take your other half of batter and split it into how many colors of dots you want and color them and bake them in a cake ball maker. Set the cake balls in your pans and use the rest of the white batter to cover the tops. Also, when making the cake balls, be sure to slightly undercook them so they do not get too done when you bake the cake. Bake the layers as you normally would and frost with whatever frosting you like.
